A 90-Year-Old California Mansion Is Asking $8.85M

A 90-year-old mansion in Ross, California has been listed with a price tag of $8.85 million, Mansion Global reported.

The stately two-acre estate, built in 1926, was sold approximately one year ago for $8 million, after it was listed in 2012 for $16.8 million.

A circular, brick paved drive leads to the magnificent three-story main residence, with expansive lawns and gardens, terraces, patios, and a pool and spa, the listing states.

The master suite features a fireplace, an exquisite bathroom, and a spiral staircase ascending to the private study with an additional bathroom.

There are six bedrooms, seven full bathrooms and one half bathroom, in the main residence, in addition to a gym and sports court, a theater, five garages, and two outdoor kitchens and barbecue areas with seating and fireplaces.

A separate two-story guesthouse features two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a fireplace, and a terrace. There is also a separate one-bedroom garage apartment, as well as a separate studio.

Serene Gardens are abundant with redwoods, Japanese maples, and fountains. On the lawn, there is an in-ground trampoline and zip line.

The property is owned by Bescherelle Trust and Bruce Stuart Trust, which bought it from the previous owners in March 2016, according to property records.

The listing at 1 Circle Drive is held by John Caruso and Max Applegarth of Sotheby’s International Realty.
